All blister packaging starts off with a vacform mould. The most widely used material to make a mould is plaster. However, for a more enduring and complicated mould, copper plating or aluminium are preferred choices. Holes are applied into the mould followed by application of heat and vacuum pressure to shape the raw material into a mould of the product design
